The policy covers the costs of various treatments for those who require long-term care and cannot tend to their own health, for example, Individuals after severe accidents, people with disabilities, elderly individuals who have lost their ability to function, etc. Additionally, the insurance coverage also applies to those injured by accident or illness and who have lost their ability to perform basic daily activities, whether temporarily or permanently (if defined as requiring long-term care).
Although the National Insurance Institute provides for various long-term care situations, it does not cover all expenses involved in such routine care. The LTC policy covers these expenses and enables proper and optimal care for the insured, thereby providing significant relief to those bearing the financial burden, i.e., the patient’s family.
